Thoughts of a mondpanther

There are many things one might critisise about George Bush. However, one thing one cannot deny is that he is very very funny. His never ending enthusiasm to enact real world satire seems to continue in the forthcoming State of the Union address. According to the BBC he plans to announce an additional $1.6 billion of spending on alternative energy source research over 10 years. That's the master at work. What a genious joke. Public energy R&D spending in the early 80ies stood at more than 8 billion dollars per year in current values (according to data from the International Energy Agency). Today, when even Bush acknowledges that carbon pollution from energy hungry economies such as particularly the US threatens to alter life on this planet as we know it the same figure is at $3 billion per year. It's probably safe to assume that those extra 160 million per year won't do much harm to the oil industry......

Which information should be on the internet? Should everything be recorded kept and kept in archives? For most things there is a specific time to express them. If expressed at the wrong time they are not adequate, misunderstood, boring. A blogger reflects this wonderfully. The most recent things are on top. Older things are in archives and dissapear naturally into nothingness at some point. Mondpanther
